We are the only company in the country officially certified by TUV NORD for the manufacturing of side curtains according to DIN EN 12642 Code XL, with the possibility of issuing a certificate for the manufactured tarpaulin.

Ilcora tarpaulins are made of a tensile-resistant material with reinforcements, which provides safety for the cargo.

What is TUV NORD certification and why does it help you?

There are 3 basic standards regarding the safe securing of cargo, and EN 12642 specifies the conditions for the construction of vehicles over 3.5 tons.

TUV NORD certification is part of the EN 12642 standard, designed for European Union countries, which regulates the principles of cargo security and includes minimum requirements for the structural strength of vehicle walls.

The structure of XL semi-trailers supports lateral and frontal loads, which makes it particularly useful for bulk cargo. The front wall retains 100% of the payload and the side walls 50%.

A semi-trailer certificate lists the supported loads: 13,000 kg payload, 13,500 daN for the front wall, 10,800 daN for the side walls, and 8,100 daN for the tailgate.

The volume of transported goods must not cause permanent deformation of the tarpaulins exceeding certain values.

Code XL side walls are used as a structural element for cargo stabilization. Therefore, the tarpaulins are not considered just an element for protecting the cargo from external elements, but an element that can secure the transported goods.

To certify vehicles in accordance with the EN 12642 standard, all vehicles undergo special tests by accredited organizations that act independently to prove that the vehicle's tarpaulins provide the necessary structural strength for cargo safety during transport.
