VERSUS SLIDING ROOF SPACER 500MM 242-01005

Original VERSUS spacer for sliding roof guidance – Length: 500 mm – Product code: 242-01005

The sliding roof spacer VERSUS (Product code: 242-01005), with a length of 500 mm, is an innovative technical component designed specifically for sliding roof systems. The main role of this spacer (positioning lever) is to maintain a constant, fixed, and correctly calibrated distance between the roof cross-members during sliding operations, ensuring smooth movement and uniform tensioning of the tarpaulin.

Manufactured from high-strength technical materials, this spacer offers an optimal weight-to-durability ratio. Calibrated to the exact size of 500 mm, it prevents the sliding roof elements from jamming or overlapping, ensuring the geometric integrity of the superstructure and easy operation during loading/unloading processes.

Technical specifications:

Key advantages of the Versus 500mm spacer:

• Reduced weight: The use of high-performance technical plastics significantly reduces the total weight of the sliding system without compromising mechanical strength.

• Corrosion resistance: Unlike metal models, this spacer is completely immune to rust, making it ideal for use in severe weather conditions or high humidity.

• Quiet and fluid operation: The composite material reduces friction and noise during sliding, facilitating easy operation for the driver.

• Easy installation: The design is optimized for direct mounting, without requiring structural modifications, reducing downtime in the service shop for maintenance.

• Dimensional stability: Resistant to temperature variations, it maintains its shape and mechanical properties long-term under constant load.

Applicability and functionality:

The structural spacer VERSUS 242-01005 is a key kinematic part in the sliding roof assembly. Its use is essential for:

• Parallel, smooth, and effortless sliding of the roof cross-members, preventing carriage seizure on the rail;

• Maintaining the geometric alignment of the bows, preventing the tarpaulin from sagging or uneven accumulation of water and ice on the roof;

• Correct and compact folding of the textile material, maximizing usable space for vertical loading.

Target audience (Who this product is for):

• Road transport companies and logistics firms using sliding roof semi-trailers;

• Truck service centers and workshops specializing in the repair of superstructures and TIR hardware;

• Fleet managers who value operational efficiency and preventive maintenance;

• Spare parts distributors and specialized shops for commercial vehicles.

Conclusion

The sliding roof spacer 500mm VERSUS 242-01005 represents the modern and efficient solution for maintaining the performance of sliding roof systems. Its lightweight yet extremely resistant design eliminates corrosive wear issues and ensures rapid, safe, and fluid operation at the ramp, making it an indispensable part for the professional maintenance of superstructures.
